Who are our customers?

At the Energy Station, we have customers ranging from infants to elderly. We have a great community of customers who brought their children to The Energy Station and now those children have grown up and are bringing their children to The Energy Station. We love family and it shows!

Our customers always rave about the great staff that  we have at The Energy Station. They like that we are open 7 days a week and that they can count on us to be there to serve them. They like the welcoming decor and the clean bathrooms!  

What do our customers love about the Energy Station?

There are so many things our customers love about The Energy Station. They love that they  can meet for a business meeting or a bible study in one of our comfy booths. People love that every time they come in, they see a friend or a neighbor. Our waiters and waitresses are another thing they love, we try really hard to build relationships with our customers and our staff is amazing! Breakfast all day?? Who doesn’t love that? At The Energy Station, we make our own small batch ice cream with high quality ingredients, which everyone loves. We also carry vegan and no sugar added flavors, which appeals to those with stricter diets. Comfort food and scratch made meals are loved by all and we have a great kids menu that includes free ice cream.

When did The Energy Station start serving customers?

The Energy Station Started as a small breakfast counter in a gas station over 40 years ago. It grew into a favorite dining spot for the locals, owned by Ron and Kathy Mininger. The Miningers sold the business to Fred Duerr for a couple of years. Allison(the current owner) started working for Fred as a waitress in March of 2006 and by September of that year, Allison bought the business from Fred and along with her husband, Glenn, has been running it ever since. In 2019, they made the decision to move from 890 Main Street to 2710 Shelly Road. The Energy Station had outgrown the smaller original location and was moved to accommodate more customers with better parking. 

Where are our customers from?

Our customers come from all over! We have some customers who come from Florida and even some who come from California! We always love meeting new people and learning more about them! Although we have new customers all the time from all over, we have a large amount of regulars who love visiting the Energy Station! We love getting to know them and their families and hope that you too can come in soon!

How have we been able to serve our community?

The Energy Station serves the community in many ways. We have sponsored baseball and bowling teams, we donate gift cards to a lot of local fundraisers. The Energy Station provides a wonderful place to meet as friends and neighbors.  

Events

Who do we hold events for? We can accommodate large groups in our dining room, however, we do not offer private rooms. We take reservations for large groups during the week, but not on weekends. We also offer catering and takeout

What kind of food do you serve?

The Energy Station serves all kind of food. We specialize in scratch-made comfort foods(our chicken croquettes are a customer favorite). Burgers, Fresh Salads, Pancakes, Waffles, Eggs, Slow roasted Turkey and Roast Beef

Do you serve breakfast all day?

We serve breakfast all day, the kids love getting pancakes for dinner!

Do you serve full menu all day?

Our entire menu is available all day. Want a burger and fries at 5:30am? You got it!

 Do you offer a buffet or salad bar?

We offer a full soup and salad bar Monday through Saturday 11am til 8pm. We are currently offering a picnic buffet as well, featuring sloppy joe, boneless chicken wings, mac and cheese, fries, short ribs,etc

Do I need a reservation?

You do not need a reservation, seating is first come, first serve. We do take reservations for large groups weekdays only

Do you offer gluten-free and/or vegan options?

Yes! We carry gluten-free bread and pancakes and waffles. We have vegetarian options as well

What about dessert?

We carry a large selection of house-made pies and cakes. We carry over 36 flavors of ice cream, any of which can be made into a handspun milkshake. We also have water ice and soft-serve

What’s new at The Energy Station?

Acai and Pitaya bowls are new, customers love the smooth textures and fresh fruits. We also carry a large variety of freshly blended drinks, like strawberry lemonade, vanilla frappe, strawberry and mango smoothies

When you have a family not everyone is going to choose the same thing to eat. Dad wants a big double patty cheeseburger, mom wants something healthy, kids want breakfast and dessert all day, Grandparents want something soft. Our giant menu meets everyone’s needs so everyone can get what they actually want at the table without any compromises. Not many restaurants in Harleysville, PA provide this type of service under one roof. We pride ourselves on this. We are not trying to show off , we just want to meet the expectation of every nutrition profile out there. From the pickiest toddler to your gluten free sister-in-law we want to satisfy everyone. Because everyone leaves happy and full they come back and choose us again and again.
